Hey everyone,

I recently finished modelling and texturing an old building model based on this real world building: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92136363@N00/207752688/sizes/l/in/photostream/

So far, its only been rendered in Maya, but I'm planning on taking it into UDK or Marmoset.

Let me know what you guys think. Which rendering engine could I make this look better in? Right now I think its looking rather bland and could be spiced up a bit more.

Looking really good!
I would take it into Cryengine 3 to get some cool reflections in the windows. :)

It's really easy to get into that engine. The only thing that can be a hassle is exporting and importing.

Simon Fuchs made a tutorial about that here: http://www.nextgenhardsurface.com/index.php?pageid=GettingStartedCryengine3

Good luck! :)

Thanks Disting! Would you say the Cryengine is easier to use than UDK?

Also, what are your thoughts on Marmoset? Seems its used mainly to render out single objects or characters. Would you use it for full environment scenes?

It is possible to use Marmoset for environments, but the lighting possibilities are limited and I wouldn't recommend it.
Cryengine is easier to get into than UDK if you ask me. Cryengine's import/export is more difficult, but the interface is simpler, and the results are more gratifying with less time spent tweaking materials and lighting.
