I wanted to upload a wip of a character I've been working on. All I have left to do is the hair on Mr Wesker. I already have some nice hair tiles going on, I just need to lay out the planes on his head and use the fur texturing technique I mention in my <a href="http://polygoblin.wordpress.com/tutorials/texturing-with-pre-rendered-fur-tiles/" target="_blank">tutorial</a>. In the meantime, I wanted to share an update and kindly ask for any crits you may have to offer.  There is quite a bit of z-fighting going on and a few seams to clean up. Also, I’m thinking about what kind of pedestal I want to make and if you have any ideas there, I’m all ears :)<br />

I have read throw forums about Quadro vs nvidia gtx. Quadro is like overpriced, but gtx has remedies with Maya e.t.c and it's like gaming card. So i can not really pick the right video card because as i said there is a lot of debate.<br />

What a great site! <br />
I´ve been building an airplane. After sculpting in rivets and some detail onto the wing i wanted to retopologize to get a lowpoly. But the new surface doesn´t always stick to the original object, when i try to let it go around the whole object it connects the vertices through the wing instead of sticking to the surface. This usually happens when i start at the top of the object-i place loops around it and when i try to close them at the bottom it &quot;steals&quot; the working surface on the top and pulls it down. Thank you guys so much for your help.<br />

I'm 23 and currently a 3d designer at Adidas. I help develop tools for designers, work in virtualization, teach, etc; but my main passion is HS modeling. <br />

This has been my latest project for two weeks or so. I got introduced to the scifi classic Outland, from the early 80s. It's basically High Noon in space. Anywho, here's reference with my WIP. <br />

This is a scene I started working on last week and have been working on during evenings here and there.<br />

I got really inspired by Tor Frick's lab scene and the way he did it, so I thought I'd give that workflow a shot.<br />
<br />
There aren't any real concepts for the scene, and I'm making it up as I go.<br />
I've got my mass effect 1 art book lying next to me, so if you recognize any props, that's probably why. :)<br />
<br />
The theme I'm going for is some sort of an observation/intelligence/communications outpost 50-100 years from now.<br />
<br />
So far I've laid out the basic shapes and a few props.<br />
The materials are still being heavily worked on.<br />
I'm using a 256x512 for the scene.<br />

I have been sculpting on the mainbody and that means bulletholes and shrapnel and some cool stuff. The detail are showing of in the normal map and so does the shieldpart that are on top of the wheels. the problem begins with all the smaller parts. Alot of detail doesnt show up at all when i bake so i feel like i could put those kind of detail in the texture instead.i dont know how you goes do but should i utilize more texture sheets?this vechile is for a fps. Im kinda angry at the moment but mostly at myself but feel free to give me some crits on what i should do.</div>

I haven't baked anything other than planes with details like floating geometry etc. But today I'm trying to bake a normal map out of this high poly crate which isn't working out too well. I've got artifacts all over the place. Those screenshots below will hopefully explain the problem to you. Since I can't figure out why I've got issues like that.<br />
