Want to byuy a new graphic card but what?

Hello there! Well my current graphic card is a geforce 9600 gts with 256mb of ram and i feel like its time to upgrade. My budget is limited to 270 bucks but i do not know what card i should buy. The brand isnt important for me but it should be a descent dx11 graphic card and yeah perhaps silent as possible

Hey Rammer, are you aiming for more of a workstation or something to game on?

I'v had experience with both AMD gpus and Nvidia and I can honestly say I would go for Nvidia over AMD any time. They just have way better support and update the drivers more often with better results. CUDA is also a plus with video editing and anything else that supports it. Also a big plus with Nvidia is the website you can check out the cards performance in the most popular games.

Maybe a GeForce 480 or push the wallet for a 580? My 580 serves me well atm haven't found a game I can't max out and play at a strong fps ( just make sure you have good cooling). Also depends on your current set-up like power-supply wattage and motherboard support.

A Geforce GTX 550 Ti & above to a GTX 580 would be recommended. Great benchmarks on them. I bought a GTX 550 Ti for $140 and it's benchmarks are amazing for it's price.
