Hi guy !
Fist of all, I have created a very simple box modeling for check the proportion of the scene.
After that I have started straight up with some modular! I have finish modeling the first modular series and I will start the texturing process (already did for one floor panel) soon !
Update soon !
Good progress here!![]()
This is gonna look dope. Love it.
Thanks!![]()
I'm fairly new with the UDK engine so I have some question :P
First, for example I have 4 assets and I want to make a nrm, diffuse and spec map. What is better? 4 assets on one 1024 map or four assets on four 512 map ? What is the best for UDK engine?
Second is more simple, where I can see the stats ? lol
Thanks a lot !![]()
to answer your question, UDK can potentially handle either way with little to no difference in performance (I think only loading times are effected by a few ms) however it is much easier for the user to import them separately, look into material creation for UDK, its not as simple as asigning a texture to the model, instead its a little bit more complex linking textures up with nodes in a material editor, this is so that any texture can be manipulated in many different ways to form a shader (though it can be as simple as linking the different textures to the different nodes such as the diffuse texture to the diffuse node etc)
the performance can be seen when previewing the level, then pressing tab to bring up the console and typing the command 'RC' this brings up the remote console that can then be used to gain any stat you wish along with setting window size and also render mode.

Thx !
Good progress!
