I agree on the door thing, I first went, wow that's cool but then kinda made me think (atm) that there is some weird artificial gravity and its the continuation on the path, it needs to be separated a little, maybe even just a different colour, but it looks odd just being a continuation, especially as the side walls look like panels, then in reality there wouldn't be any need to use the same ones for the door, panels can fit together so I would imagine it would be different (probably said the same thing 3 times there :P)

Yes - I had the same feeling... I'll have to give the doorways their own treatment... I think I'm going to temporarily move forward with the wall sections first though, and after I get those figured out, I'll re-work the doorways so they work properly with the walkway kit as well as the wall kit. It'll be nice to start getting some more variation in there too. Thanks fellas.

Well I spent a little while getting a kit started for the larger sections of wall. Gonna take it a LOT further than it is right here but just wanted to throw in the plan pieces and see how the fitting worked out... So far so good... It's making all of the errors with the walkway kit stand out like a sore thumb though, so before I move on too much further with the building, I'm going to build out the bottoms of the walkways, so they will integrate structurally with the concrete.

Thank you McClish - I put a little more on to them all so they have balconies on the edges now, and i you look underneath them, ceilings will now make layers with the floor below them.

Here's another image - still just testing the versatility of all the parts to see what kind of limits I'll have before I re-concept the layout or re-block it.

Had a friend come in to town and it slowed me down for about a week. Starting to get some of my grid pieces figured out a little better, struggling with some.

Starting to worry that I may have over-scoped the project so I need to kick the production up a notch.

yeah i think you're right about the over-scoping if you think you have the time finish it i would continue along this path, but quite frankly i think it may be wise to scale it down a bit and start working on the details of at least one part, and see how long that takes you. that way, you will know how much time you still need for the rest of the project and whether or not you'll be able to finish it.

Yeah.. you know Ideally I want to be have a set of kits that I can just go crazy with, and really it shouldn't be that hard to do but I haven't ever done it before so my lack of planning and experience is hurting. The walkway came together quickly and I think the main reason the building parts are slowing me down so much is because I didn't build them on the same grid as one another.... a huge noob move ... setting me back about a week now

but yeah, After I get a decent wall kit done, I'll pull the camera in and get some support pillars, planters, some foliage and lights to bring it to life.

I know what you mean, before starting this contest I have just done little props and even then Only been really trying since about may. I had a huge area planned but I am scaling it down a lot in hopes of just having fewer more detailed pieces.

I agree. Scale it down, but keep the same style and go along the same path.
    Keep it up!
